This is an vintage professional Buffet clarinet. The prior owner has left this mortal coil and it is now up for sale.
If I read the charts correctly, serial number F72750 puts the year of manufacture at 1962. While the 'F' in the serial number may mean it was made for the European market, it plays well in tune (A=440)
While this clarinet has play wear in the form of wear to the key plating and various nicks in the Grenadilla wood body, it is in very good playing condition. It has been gone over and pads and corks have been replaced as needed. The wood is good, no cracks or splits.

The Buffet R13 clarinet has a 40-year history of quality and craftsmanship. From the wind ensembles to the great symphony orchestras, it is the benchmark in clarinet manufacturing. Crafted in high-quality grenadilla wood to ensure evenness of tone and response. The R13's 3-step polycyndrical bore is noted for its dark, full sound. The RC with serial number F325190 and the E13 with serial number K144848 are both silver plated and already on age. An E13 with prefix K actually has the 'old' serial number range of the Evette Schaeffer: the predecessor of this model. I also bought a Buffet, serial number 48830, and this clarinet measured like the present Vintage model Buffet clarinet, is poly-cylindrical, and dates from 1955. So, from this small sampling it appears that 1955 is the magical year for the poly-cylindrical R-13 and that some were available before the 50,000. The Buffet website only really returns the serial numbers of R-13 and other professional clarinets. The BC prefix is just that a prefix. Upper and lower joint are both marked with the serial number. I measure the barrel length at just over 65mm. Assumedly, both the barrel and bell are original to the horn.
The case is solid, but not otherwise noteworthy.
